As a new club we are working very
hard to get things up and running as quickly as possible. Please
keep checking back to our web site for updates. We all have to
start somewhere................
At this time, we would like to
introduce THE CENTRAL TEXAS MINIATURE HORSE CLUB. This club will be
an AMHA affiliated club with a fresh attitude in order to create an
emphasis on membership involvement. The club's mission statement
will be to produce quality shows with a fun atmosphere at a
reasonable cost to its members. We want to encourage and help our
youth and amateurs in all ways. THE CENTRAL TEXAS MINIATURE HORSE
CLUB will be a non-profit club with contributions to be distributed
to local area equine help groups. We look forward to new and
educational opportunities such as farm tours, sales, parades and
other fun events. The farm tours will be open to the public and
first priority will be given to club members to have your farm
represented in the tour.
The members will be the deciding
factor in the club and its direction. There will be very few
meetings due to the fact that most business and voting will be done
over the internet and by mail-in ballots. This gives all members a
voice and a vote on all major issues pertaining to the club. There
will be meetings held at the shows, but mainly for social activities
and fund raising. It is the club's goal to bring back the family
atmosphere and enjoyment in showing miniature horses while staying
consistent with a professional level.
This club will be non-profit
with the goals of raising money for good causes and not to have
money in the bank. The only money that will be retained, is the
amount to put on the next show and club expenses. The first show will be held on May
15 and 16, 2010 at the Brazos County Expo Center in Bryan, TX. It
is a new facility and very accommodating, it can be viewed at
.www.BrazosCountyExpo.com.
We are already lining up a show schedule for 2011. This will include
AMHA and AMHR shows.
We encourage you to be a part of the
exciting new club. Come join the fun and be involved in helping
others. It takes a strong member to make a difference, so lets put
the member back in the membership.
Our officers and members would like to thank the
AMHA, The South Western
Miniature Horse Club and the San Antonio Miniature Horse Club for
all their help, support and encouragement. A
BIG THANKS !!!!
